We are cleared and ready to go. One of the officials suggested that we visit Mbengga(20Nm) on our way to Vuda. We could not find the channel markers, but went through the reef anyway. We were looking for Maluma bay, and the village Lalau.

1500
We past a small resort and then the village, and dropped anchor. Out with the dingy, over to the resort, and then the village. We did not have any cava, but brought a nice piece of fish we had caught. We were taken to the hut of the chief and was invited to a cava sermon.

Time for church. After church we were invited to lunch, and then a rest on the floor. After a vile I went outside with the kids, they were singing for me and demanded that I learned them a Norwegian song (Eg heiter Anne Knutsdotter)

Time to leave, the villagers wanted us to stay, and the children run along the shore to wave us off. It had been a lovely experience with an extremely friendly village

Going through the reef, and heading for Musket cove. Musket cove is a lovely resort, with a sailors bar on a small island, it is nice, and people are friendly, but it is a resort, and we left after two nights.IMG_1350 IMG_1348

IMG_1377Set sail for Waya. (40 Nm). Due to wind direction we decided to go to the northern shore.
1600
Arrived at Waya north, dropped anchor, out with the dingy, grabbed some kava and some fish and hit for the village. The chief met us on the beach, and took us to his hut were we had a cava sermon. We ended up drinking kava and telling stories until it was rather late, and the low tide made it difficult to leave the village. The chief proclaimed us members of his family, and asked us to sleep over. I do not like leaving the boat over night, and he sent one of his sons to help us through the reefs. We had to promise we were coming back.

Set sail for Blue Lagoon. (50Nm)
1600
Arrived at Blue Lagoon. The resort close to the anchorage offered Lavo (A dinner they cook with heated stones in the ground) but the price was too stiff for us (99 FD). We cooked dinner on board for less than 5 FD. Grabbed some cava, and went to the village, presented our self to the chief, and was welcomed to the village.

Took the dingy in to the chief to say god bay and give him a fish we had caught on the way. When we arrived we found the his wife sitting outside with her 3 daughters and 3 daughters in law. They all lived within a radius of 50m. Sweet?
